Change Can Be Good - If You Let It by Gidget Giardino

People change, and

Ever thought you'd just wish things were like they used to be? Here are some great tips for dealing with change. Change can be good.

By Marsha Egan

Almost every day, I hear someone remark how fast the world is changing - and it's true. It's almost unrecognizable from our parents' days, and even from the world we grew up in.

We live in a world far more touched by a constant state of change than any generation which has gone before us. Global communication and sharing of ideas combined with ever-increasing technology has given us a world that moves incredibly fast. Add to that the increasing world population, increased global competition and the pressure we all have on profits, and we have a world with its foot stuck firmly on the gas pedal!

Mind you, it's almost certain that the current break-neck speed at which our world turns is the slowest rate of change we'll ever have; things can only speed up even further from here - pretty scary, isn't it?

Just to reinforce this, the compounding reality is that there's nothing any of us can do to slow the rate of change - whether we like it or not, the roller coaster is here to stay!

The more change we have to deal with, the greater is the potential for us to feel stressed out. People are, by their very nature, resistant to change. We have our routines and our idiosyncrasies, and we hate to be taken outside our 'comfort zones'. How many times have you heard a colleague say 'well, we've always done it that way', or refer to how something worked 'last time'? When we have to mix things up a little, people get uncomfortable, so it's understandable that this can create stress.

Even changes that improve people's lives can create stress. For example, when someone gets a promotion and has to move to a new city, they not only have to deal with all of the changes to their new responsibilities at work, with a new boss, new relationships and new knowledge; their family must also deal with the changes involved in moving to a new neighborhood -- new schools, new neighbors, new places to shop, new doctor, the list can be endless. While the overall result is a positive change, all these things almost certainly add pressure to a person's home and professional life.

Given the fact that we can't slow the rate of change down, what CAN we do?

The answer lies in our own ability to change from within - the way we handle or react to change. If you can't change what we don't like, there are only two things you can do. You can elect not to be part of the thing you don't like (which in this case simply isn't going to work!), or you change your attitude towards it.

Here are some ideas for how you might accomplish this:

- Find the benefits of the changes you are experiencing. Think of ways you can use those changes to make your life easier. Try to avoid fighting the change, and find ways to make it work for you. It's much easier to 'go with the flow'!

- Focus on learning to work with the change. The more you focus on 'getting a handle on it', the faster it'll be second-nature.

- Think things through. When confronted with change, look at it as if it's a chess game, when you need to think through the several moves in advance rather than just one. A lot of the time we create a stressful situation by making a judgement call without considering what the consequences will be.

- Keep open mind, and a positive attitude. Finding fault with a new idea or dismissing it is easy, but the better our attitude to it, the less of a chore it will be. As an added bonus, staying positive will have a positive effect on your career and relationships - no-one wants to be around a negative person!

- Recognize that change can be stressful. Accept that fact and give yourself permission to feel uncomfortable at the beginning.

- Helping those around you get used to the change will give you a better understanding of the change itself, will minimize the stressful side of it, as well as impacting well on your relationships.

"I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul." is a quote from the classic poem 'Invictus', although most people remember it more as a line from the film 'Casablanca'. Take ownership of your own attitude. You'll only feel stressed if you allow stress into your life. By controlling your attitude, and your emotional responses, you will give yourself the best chance of getting the most out of change, and minimizing your stres's levels.

Sure, change can hurt. But it is here to stay. The people and organizations who seek out the positives and embrace change will be the ones who see the most benefit from it. Will you be one of them?

Dream Grand Dreams Only by Gidget Giardino

AND SOME PEOPLE ONLY DREAM OF IT I Pay attention to your dreams; the ones you are conscious of and the ones you aren't conscious of.  If it is true that we are what we think about most, we had better start paying very close attention, and, only let in what our hearts truly desire.

by Daniel Wood

If you are interested in personal development you have probably heard Brian Tracy’s words, “You are what you think about most of the time”.

It is true, by thinking about something enough you push it into your subconscious, your mental computer that works 24 hours a day.

Dreams are your window to the mental computer
When you dream your conscious turns off, giving you a view of what is going on in your subconscious.

You most important work will be done when you sleep. Your mind will be working without your conscious getting in the way, it will be solving problems you don’t even know you have and present your with solutions you didn’t realise your needed.

What you think becomes what you dream
Your dreams mirror your thoughts. It is your subconscious.
By pushing a message into your subconscious it will be a part of your dreams. But to get something into your subconscious takes effort. You need to think about it constantly, write it down, visualize it, repeat it to yourself and almost become obsessed by it.

You are what you dream
Once you have pushed your thoughts into your subconscious you will start dreaming about solutions.
You will then start to see changes in the world around you and before long you will become what you have dreamed about.
In shorter time then you can imagine you can do extra ordinary things.

If you have read “Think and Grow Rich” By Napoleon Hill, he shares this advice in his book and shows examples of how some of the most successful men and women have changed their lives and gone from rags to riches in just a short matter of time.

Change your mental programming
Most of us have a knack for dwelling on the negative, the danger of this is that you will be pushing this into your subconscious, making your mental computer work on solutions to give you even more greif.
If you are to succeed you have to change your mental programming, you have to become a more positive person, focusing on the good and on solutions.
This can be done in mainly 2 ways.

Affirmations
Keep repeating positive messages to yourself throughout the day, for example a cure for low self-esteem is to repeat over and over again hundreds of time a day “I like myself, I like myself”. A solution for low work moral is “I love my work”. If you want to rekindle the romance in a relationship it can be enough to repeat to yourself day in and day out “I love my wife/partner”.

This will push it into your subconscious and your will start finding solutions to make it reality.

Goal Setting
The other way is by clearly stating your goals in writing. When you have your goals in writing it becomes easier to dwell upon them. You can spend time reading them every day. You can write down plans, think about ideas and so on.

All this will push your goals deaper into your subconscious and help you speed up your success.

Conclusion
Getting your subconscious working on your goals will bring you closer to success because your subconscious works on solutions 24 hours/day every day.

It will present you with new ideas, insights and plans.
Remember that the most important thing is that you act on these ideas and insights, because no plan ever mattered that wasn’t put into action.

Why Be Mean? by Gidget Giardino

In the book The Four Agreements, it clearly states (in massive repetition) to be impeccable with your word. Meaning, when you speak with others you need to be honest without being unkind. When you make negative or nasty comments to someone else it imprints them with bad feelings about themselves, and maybe even you.

If you think about it, in most cases, you really have no reason to say negative or unkind words. The bad thoughts running through your mind are more about you than they are about the person you are with. Realize this is what is happening and only focus on the positive.

You choose how you feel.
Choose to be HAPPY,
choose to be POSITIVE,
choose to be GREAT.

Learn From The Giraffes How To Do Network Marketing by Gidget Giardino

Picture 2 : giraffes Standing the tallest of all, giraffes see obstacles and opportunities while they are still far off. They are so peacefully hard-working we sometimes forget how powerful they are, how swiftly they can move.

Picture 7 : Masai giraffesHumans can learn a lot from this magnificent creature. We don't have to be the tallest, but we do have to open our eyes and, more importantly, our minds to the opportunities which may in turn destroy the obstacles in our life.

It is entirely possible to be peacefully hard-working. In most cases, the chaos is not created by others but by our own minds working overtime. We, as humans, tend to complicate even the simplest tasks.

Take Network Marketing, the idea is a simple one. You build a business of referring others to a particular product. The more people you refer the more profits you earn. Not exactly rocket science. So, why is it then that most people who join a Network Marketing company don't turn a huge profit? It's because they over-complicate the simple task of referring.

Think about it this way. If you went to a new restaurant in town that just opened and had a delicious meal with great service, you  would not think twice about telling your friends and family about your wonderful experience, right? Well, if you want to succeed in Network Marketing just be honest about your experience and share it with others.

A Wonderful Thing by Gidget Giardino

Isn't it a wonderful thing that we're all different? Each of us has strengths and skills to share. And when we link our individual strengths together, we're invincible.

Because of the truly special and spectacular people in my life, I am blessed beyond anything I could ever wish for. All of my successes in life were made possible by the loving, caring relationships that were built. A person is never successful alone. It takes the help of those around us.

Today, take a moment to recognize your successes, and give thanks to those who stood by you, gave a helping hand, whispered words of encouragement, or just simply believed in you. Thank them for being part of your success.

Get On Your Way

One of my favorite authors of all time, Jack Canfield, wrote this article.  His easy to read and understand way of writing make him one of the most successful coaches. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Get On Your Way by Jack Canfield

Starting toward your goals is up to you. No one can hold your hand and take you to your goal safely. No one can take every step with you and make sure you do not have any struggles. You must take responsibility for what you want and you must begin.

Beginning need not be scary. It is as simple as making a few decisions. Will you decide what you want for yourself? You do not have to decide how it will all come about; you only need to decide what it is you want for your life. How do you want to be living? You must also decide what your first step will be. Will it be signing up for more education or training? Will it be making a list of people to talk to? Will it be getting a new job, or even a second part-time job in the field you want to be in?

Come up with the first action you will take and take it! Just jump in and figure out each step to take next. Once you start, keep your eyes and ears open to the possibilities. Energy in motion stays in motion. Just keep taking steps. Learn as you go. Find out what you can do right now and do it. If you need to learn how to do the next thing before you can do it, then the next step is to learn it!

Be willing to ask questions and be rejected and feel your fears. Allow yourself to be human just like everyone else. Ask for help from people who can help you. Learn how others are doing it and practice what they do. The main thing is to begin.

When you begin, you set the cycle of cause and effect into play. You cannot possibly know all that will come about as you set off for your desired lifestyle. But as you take your steps, there are things happening behind the scenes, and opportunities will unfold before you when you are ready for them. Your horizon will shift into focus as you approach your goals and then change into another distant prize for you to keep marching toward. You cannot see all that can be yours from just one viewpoint.

Acknowledge your present state of happiness even if your life isn’t all that you hope it will be. Just be grateful now and keep our sights set on being grateful. Open yourself to accept new beliefs about yourself and what you can accomplish, and you will find yourself accomplishing them. Be grateful then, too. Because as you grow and develop yourself you will always be creating new goals to improve your life; it is important not to wait for that “perfect” life before you are grateful to be living.

Keep yourself inspired and motivated. Get a mentor or personal coach, a group to be accountable to, an audio program and books to keep your internal fire lit. Surround yourself with positive energy, especially from within, and make the changes you need to in your life.

Visualize your success every day. Pay attention to your habits. Decide every day to take more steps toward improvement. Make your life a wonderful adventure that you are fully engaged in!

Plan Your Future by Gidget Giardino

Planning your future
is not about just you. It's about your family, your loved ones. Making certain that what you've worked hard to provide does exactly what you intend it to do.

You've all heard the saying, Plan Your Work And Work Your Plan, right?

This is why you must make a plan to take you from where you are now to where you want to be. Your plan should include what you are willing to do on a consistent basis in order to get you from point A to point B, and so on until you have reached your destination.

For instance, if you want to have all your debts paid in full and have $10,000 in savings by the end of 2015 then you need to write out your plan on paper. Figure out what form of work you can do that will provide the necessary income needed. (I chose Network Marketing because of the simple, easy to follow system and the access to knowledgeable coaches who were more than willing to help me get my goals accomplished.) Decide how many hours a week you are able and willing to give in order to reach your goal of all debts paid and $10,000 in the bank. Then, on a consistent basis, follow your plan and don't stop until you have reached your goal or surpassed it.

It's not as complicated as you might think to make 2011 your best year ever. Particularly when people like me are willing to work with you to create your plan and then tackle it step by step. My help is free, as in zilch, zero, nothing, nada. So, why not take advantage and make a positive difference in your life and your families? Drop me an e-mail. Gidget.Giardino@gmail.com

The Winds Of Change by Gidget Giardino

Each fall, monarch butterflies in Maine begin an unbelievable journey to a hilltop in Mexico. How do they do it? They focus on the goal, not the difficulties. Each day they take their bearings and set off, allowing their instincts and desire to steer them. They accept what comes: some winds blow them off course, others speed them along. They keep flying until, one day, they arrive. It is their determination that allows them to accomplish their goal.

Believe And Achieve.

Your determination makes the difference.

Looking For a Way To Make Money? by Gidget Giardino

After a long break, I am finally back.

Over the past month I've been busy coming to the rescue of various people and have worn many hats in doing so. I won't bore you with the details, but I will say this... It's been a really long time since I've had a 5 year old in the house to care for. :)

Now, it is time to get back to business. Business for me is like having lots of friends in lots of different places because I work from home and the people I work with are all over the globe. Every day I get in touch with people who want or need to improve their life. That is where I come in.

Since the recession most people have expressed major interest in making money. Some need to work from home because they've lost their job and can't seem to find another one anywhere else. Several are looking at their retirement options and have realized they don't have any. Others just need a little extra to stash away in case something unexpected pops up.

If building a business from home is something you've thought about it makes perfect sense to get the facts from people who are actually doing it. Don't ask your neighbor who retired from some corporate job ten years ago. Don't ask the friend who is constantly broke or the friend who does nothing but complain.
Ask someone who will be straight about the facts, give all the details, and help you with what YOU need. ASK ME.

Be Proud by Gidget Giardino

BE PROUD of even the smallest accomplishments. They are the building blocks to greatness. And, YOU ARE GREAT!

If every day you did one thing, just one thing to improve yourself or build your business, at the end of the week you'll be amazed. Keep achieving these little mini goals and by the end of the month your be thrilled to see how far you've gone. Imagine where you'll be, how grand your life is at the end of the year!

Now, I know all about making new year resolutions that never get off the ground. I used to be one of those people. It all boiled down to discipline. Taking the extra few minutes each and every day to actually do the things you know you need to do in order to have a better life, or having the willpower to quit doing the self destructive habits you have. Because you are afraid you can't shake them isn't going to make them go away, and it certainly isn't going to improve your life.

Take it one day at a time. If something is truly important to you, you will make it part of your daily routine to improve. It isn't as hard as it seems. You just have to take a deep breath every morning and live your life the way you know you need to.

BE PROUD of your positive improvements. Even if they seem small. All your accomplishments add up to greatness. And, you ARE great!

Grow. Grow. GROW. by Gidget Giardino

Since I was a florist for more than 25 years, it probably goes without saying, I love growing things.

A daily task was to care for our many plants. This is said to be therapeutic, and I believe it is. There is something very calming about cultivating the growth of a plant.

Each kind of plant needs different care. Some want constant attention, while others get "sick" if you fiddle with them too much. The key is to figure out what each needs and then only do what you KNOW will be best. Don't give too much water if the plant prefers to be dry. Don't let it scorch in the sun if it must have shade.  You don't necessarily have to baby it. Just respect its needs.

If you take the above into consideration and apply the thinking to your business you will find that people are a lot like plants. Treat each person with the care and respect they need and do not do more than necessary. We've all heard of the term "over-kill."

Your Home-Based business will "thrive" when you learn, and apply, the above.

You Know What They Say About Death and Taxes by Gidget Giardino

I don't know about you, but it makes me mad as hell to wake up each day and hear that our country is in such financial turmoil. Today's headlines on the "Tax Cut Compromise" was enough to make me puke.

Under this proposal, the single working people with below $20,000 in earnings and married couples below $40,000 will be worse off.  Basically the "working poor" (I hate that BTW) will loose money because Obama's proposal is to substitute a Social Security payroll tax cut for the Making Work Pay credit. In this scenario, our single working-class will no longer receive the $400 they are accustomed to and the married will not receive the $800, by the time you do the math.

However, the rich will do really well. A worker earning $106,800 (max. amount of income subject to Social Security tax) stands to save $2,136 in payroll taxes. Double that for married couples making over $100,000.

Now, do you really think the rich will stimulate the economy with their extra dough? Maybe some, but not nearly as much as the low-income working families would with their measly $400. All this does is drive a bigger wedge between the rich and the poor, financially speaking.

How do you get out of the jam? Simple. Make more money.

I know, you're rolling your eyes and snorting at my last statement. But, think about it. It is the solution to that  problem, as well as many others. On my blog you will find articles with basic steps to follow in order to be successful in making more money. Stay tuned. And, BE PREPARED to take action.

Improve Your Business

Stay Ahead Of The Curve
by “Independent Executive” Chuck Boyce

It’s often difficult for entrepreneurs and business owners to look beyond the hectic day-to-day pace of their business responsibilities.  Time is at a premium; and so are money and resources.
Any small business coach or executive business coach, however, will tell you that not looking past today can cost you plenty tomorrow.

There’s an old saying:  “Stay ahead of the curve.”  Translation?  Keep your eyes open for change before it happens – so you’ve already thought through how you’re going to make critical adjustments before it’s too late.

Here are a few suggestions on how you can stay ahead of the curve, no matter what your business is:
  • SCHEDULE IT AND SET IT IN STONE
Many smart entrepreneurs will carve out a few hours every week (Friday afternoons, when everything is winding down, are often popular) to review their business operation from a “Big Picture” perspective.  This requires a certain objectivity and distance to do correctly.  If you do put this into practice, always make sure you end each session with some “Action Points” to apply to your business that will help it react to current marketplace conditions.
  • GET OUT OF YOUR BUSINESS BUBBLE
Everyone wants to think there’s nowhere to go but up in their particular business category.  When they associate with others in the same industry, there’s often a little bit of groupthink going on – everyone reinforces each other’s optimism. Let’s recall a few years ago when the entire financial community bet everything that real estate prices would never, ever take a substantial drop.  To avoid the echo chamber, seek out other opinions from those in other industries on how they view your business sector – and if they feel it’s headed for growth or rough times.
  • DO YOUR RESEARCH
In case you weren’t aware, the internet isn’t just for shopping or playing games – it’s also the most amazing source of information in the history of mankind.  It’s easy to find reputable sites that analyze current business trends, as well as suggesting new ways of both saving money and making it.   If you don’t already seek out this kind of valuable (and generally free) business advice, put it on your to-do list.

Doing your research also involves attending seminars and trade shows where you can network as well as catch up on cutting-edge trends.  The more you expose yourself to, the more well-rounded you are in terms of running your business.  That ultimately makes you quick with the right response whenever business conditions change or a new opportunity crops up.

Santa Mail

Make Wishes Come True

You can help Santa grant special wishes this holiday season just by writing him a letter.

This year you can bring a smile to the face of a child with a life-threatening medical condition by writing a letter to Santa. Go into any Macy's store before December 25th and write a letter to Santa at the Believe Station or drop off a stamped letter addressed to Santa. For each letter mailed at Macy's, the famous department store will donate a dollar, up to $1 million, to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. You can download a template at www.macys.com/believe or write one of your own.

Macy's Believe Campaign is inspired by The New York Sun's famous "Yes, Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus" editorial from 1897, in reply to a little girl's question about Santa's existence. "Yes, Virginia", an animated television special about this heartwarming holiday story, is now available as a DVD and a children's book. 10% of the purchase price of those sold at Macy's will also be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Christmas is a time to be joyful and spread peace and love to all. So, this holiday season, while you are rushing around preparing for your own special festivities, stop by Macy's Believe Station and write a letter to Santa. Every dollar counts.

Beautiful Trees

TREES...
 (by Joyce - 1886-1918) Kilmer
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree...

Are You Happy?

The Head Games of Happiness
by Darren Hardy

What makes you happy… really?

That’s a serious question… maybe one of the most important questions of your life. But did you know most people can’t answer it correctly?

In his book Stumbling on Happiness, Harvard professor Dan Gilbert explains that most of us think we know what makes us happy, but typically we are wrong.

I have found there are three major traps in which you might be unknowingly making yourself unhappy.

The first unhappiness trap is postponing happiness. The “when I (fill in the blank), I will be happy” syndrome. The reality is that happiness isn’t something to be acquired in the future. You are either happy now or not; “then” never arrives. Living and striving for “then” results in a constant state of unhappiness. Now is the only time you have to be happy. If you can’t be happy now, you most certainly will not be happy later.
The second unhappiness trap is we spend our lives trying to make other people happy, which can make us very unhappy. Many times we are living a life we didn’t even choose ourselves. We might have simply, and unconsciously, started pursuing the idea of happiness programmed by our parents, peers, societal culture, or the examples given to us by Hollywood or commercialism. Whose idea of success are you living out?
Third unhappiness trap is contrast. For the most part happiness is really an illusion. In other words, you make up the idea of whether you are happy or not. And you really only know how to judge something by comparing it to something else. Typically this means comparing yourself to other people. This is dangerous business because there will always be reference points that will cause you to be unhappy.

The bottom line is this, happiness is not derived from the outside, it is only derived from within. Happiness is a state of mind. And you can continually choose to be happy.
Here is the best way I know to live in happiness—live in gratitude. When you focus on all you have and all that you are, right now, that is where happiness is born. Once it is born now you can nurture it further by discovering those other experiences that bring you increased joy, happiness and exhilaration.

Eco-Friendly Holiday Tips by Gidget Giardino

Tips for an Eco-Friendly Holiday

It's hard to believe, but according to Robert Lilienfeld, co-author of the book, "Use Less Stuff: Environmental Solutions for Who We Really Are," between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day, Americans throw away a million extra tons of garbage each week. During the season of giving, it sure seems like we're taking a lot from Mother Nature. Here are some suggestions of ways to go green this holiday season, and you just might save some green in the meantime.

Start with your gift giving. You may not have ever thought about it before, but some gifts are certainly more eco-friendly than others. Giving an experience, like tickets to a ballgame or an art exhibit, create much less waste than complicated toys and gadgets. And some of the best gifts can be homemade like cookies and cakes, or having guests over for a full home-cooked meal.

As you do begin warping up those presents for family and friends, consider recycling gift wrap. You can easily reuse gift bags, tissue paper, bows and even wrapping paper. For gift wrapping alternatives, think about using reusable items like scarves, handkerchiefs or bandanas.
If you need to ship your presents this year, avoid Styrofoam packing peanuts and try the biodegradable kind instead. You can also use crumpled up newspaper, or even dry, popped popcorn (insert a note inside the box letting the receiver know that they can later treat birds to it).

For many folks, the holidays just wouldn't be the same without a live, fragrant Christmas tree. As you search for that perfect tree, keep in mind that if you purchase a tree from a tree farm you're not damaging forests. Artificial trees are also a good choice since they are reused every year and that saves on the gas you would spend driving to the tree farms.

To ignite your family with holiday cheer, be sure to purchase Christmas lights made with light-emitting diodes, or LEDs. According to one U.S. Department of Energy study, if all families replaced their conventional holiday light strings with LEDs, at least two billion kilowatt-hours of electricity could be saved in a month. The savings alone would be enough to power 200,000 homes for a year.

Once you've chosen your tree, get creative with the decorations. Give it your family's personal touch by decorating it with memorabilia such as a child's first shoe. Cookie cutters, pinecones, stuffed animals and toys, and miniature toy cars work just as well.

And start the New Year off on the right foot try treecycling. By recycling your fresh tree you can make a huge difference in reducing holiday waste. Instead of ending up in a landfill, Christmas trees can be ground into wood chips and be reused as mulch gardens, or to prevent erosion. If you visit Earth911.com, you can search your zip code to find the nearest Christmas tree recycling center near you. Written by Tara Darby

Choose The Right Company For Success

Janet Callaway, my mentor, has a way with words, as well as, being tremendously successful in NWM. This article completely describes what you need to succeed in this industry.

6 Keys to Success by Janet Callaway

Today let's explore 6 key points in finding a company that is “built to last.” After all, if you are going to invest your time and effort to build for the future, you want to know that company will still be around in the future to pay you that residual income you earned.

Though it might seem odd, I am going to list these 6 keys in reverse order. In other words, I am going to start with the Least important first which may surprise you.

  1. Product. What, you say; how can that possibly be the least important? You're thinking if I had a great product to market, a product that really “Worked,” I would be rich because everyone would want it and would keep using it. While your logic sounds well, logical, unfortunately the reality is something else. People use great products, get better, feel better, look better or whatever better, and then they quit taking the products. Why? Because they are better! People forget about prevention and following consistent routines for optimum results. Life happens and people “forget” how they were before or they choose to spend their money elsewhere. A great product does not guarantee longevity of a company nor success for the individual distributor.
  1. Compensation. No way. If the compensation plan is good, the program/the plan will work and “I'll get rich!” Sounds good, however, once again that old reality is quite different. Many compensation plans are designed to only last a “short” time rather than the long haul. Still others “work” when there are a modest number of distributors and simply fall apart when the distributor force grows larger. The bane of the network marketing industry is compensation plans that keep changing because they were not well designed in the beginning. The good news/bad news is that it is not about the Compensation plan because people have made tons of money with truly terrible Compensation plans. Go figure.
  1. Tools. What on earth do you mean by “Tools.” Tools are what you use to deliver the information to your prospective business partners. They are critically important. This quote by Archimedes best describes the power of good tools: "Give me a lever long enough and a place to stand, and I will move the world."

  2. Systems. Newcomers to the Network Marketing industry often don't recognize the importance of a system. Because most of us are used to having to do it by ourselves, we forget that Network Marketing is about the power of leverage as Archimedes so well stated. You not only use Tools in a system, you also use people. In a good company, there is a step-by-step system that anyone can follow. If people do follow the System, they experience success because they have people helping them each step of the way as well as the Tools that do the work for them.

  3. Coaches. This is probably starting to make sense to you now. You now have a Product to market, a Compensation plan to pay you as well as Tools and a System to follow. Your Coach helps to put it together for you and keep you on target so that you achieve your goals. Any successful athlete, musician, or person who excels at a craft/trade/art has or had a coach. In most instances, its multiple and continuing coaches. Recognizing the importance of coach, we celebrate great coaches like the late Coach John Wooden of UCLA. Work with a coach, a mentor and you will succeed. Attempt to do it all on your own and, most likely, you will fail.

  4. Owners. Simply put, if the owners lack integrity and the ability to lead, the Company will fail. The Owners are the ones who write your royalty checks both today and into the future. Make sure that they have a track record of success and integrity. Your future depends on it.

Choose wisely. Let me know if I can help in any way. Would love to hear your thoughts on these 6 Key Points.

Business or Hobby ? by Gidget Giardino

Unless somebody is making the phone ring or the customers come through the door, it's not a business. It's just a very expensive hobby.

Depending on what kind of business you are in the activities you need to do in order to bring the customers to you daily varies. Traditional business may need more advertising, direct mail campaignes, radio scripts, etc. But, if you Work From Home you need to stay in touch via internet, the phone, or both.

A Home-Based Business does not usually require a large start-up cost. You should not have to take out a sales ad in the newspaper or spend your cash on advertising campaignes. However, you will need to choose the right company and get a mentor.

The things you need to look for in choosing the right company are:
1. The Owners must have integrity and a solid success record.
2. A Mentor who will keep you on target and help you achieve your goals.
3. A step-by-step System that anyone can follow.
4. Tools to deliver the information professionally without delay.
5. Generous and fair Compensation plan designed to last.
6. Highly consumable Products that work.

Tomorrow I will post details on the above six necessary things you need to choose a Successful Company.
